2 Corinthians 3;17

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

God’s Holy Spirit. God, the Holy Spirit. The third Person in the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit is God. Is often symbolised as a White Dove. As our beloved Jesus stepped out of the River Jordan. Immediately after being baptised by John. A white dove, the emblem of peace, truth and innocence was witnessed.

God’s Holy Spirit is a priceless gift from our loving Father, God. God’s Spirit also creates in us a spirit of faith that grows and keeps on growing. It is God’s Spirit dwelling within us Who creates our faith in Jesus. “And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” ( John20:22)

Faith in Jesus is strengthened through our constant reading of God’s Holy Word. The Holy Spirit is God. God’s Holy Spirit is our Teacher about Jesus our Lord and Saviour. It is He who teaches what we need to know about Jesus. “The faith the Holy Spirit creates in us is faith in Jesus’ work for us.” (Kyle. G. Jones) In other words, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit are continually intertwined. They live. They belong together. “By faith, we receive the benefits Christ won for us by His death and resurrection.” (Kyle. G. Jones)

 Psalm 143:8

“Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning;
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul.”

It’s a New Day! It’s A New Day! It’s a New Day With the Lord!

Today is a new day. Full of opportunities and challenges. This day. This gift. Is truly a gift of God’s love to and for us. We shine God’s love on those we encounter during our brand-new day. God’s Holy Word shows us that we can love others. Only because “We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)

Today is a gift of love from our Father. We will not take it for granted. Each moment. Each blessing. Each of His creations. Each person is a reason for thanksgiving. Perhaps, just perhaps! God blessed this early morning with His gentle smile. His colourful, pastel shades of His rainbow. “I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.” (Genesis 9:13)

Philippians 3:8

“I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord”

Jesus, we know is God the Son. Jesus, we accept as our Lord and Saviour. Jesus, we acknowledge as the risen Son of God on high. BUT! Who really is Jesus, we crave so earnestly to know. We desire more than shallow knowledge about our Lord and Saviour. We long to experience and understand Christ. To perceive who He really is. To grasp in full His pure and perfect love for us.

We endeavour to be as close to Jesus, as John is. We long to witness His love for those outcasts in their own society. To see the beautiful love in Christ’s eyes as He touches and heals the leper. The man is shunned and classified as untouchable. “Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” (Matthew 8:2)

We live a life of victory and triumph. Knowing that through Christ’s miraculous resurrection we have power over sin and our sinful nature. Through the power and strength of His Holy Spirit dwelling within us. “Jesus won the supreme victory at the cross. Sin was atoned for, and the power of sin and death was broken, (see John 12:31 and Peter 2:24).” (gotquestions.org)

Sunday, 4th December

Psalm 118:24

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

We see each day as a new creation. For this is what it is. We have within us the power to create of it what we will. We greet this new creation as do the birds. With welcoming songs of joy and hope. Beautiful and melodic hymns provide the armour to tackle our new day. Each obstacle. Each person is greeted with God’s grace and pure love.

We remember. We, with beating hearts overflowing with love for our Father, God. We remember. We are now standing on ground that is made Holy and Righteous by the very presence of God Almighty. We stand in the presence of God Himself. O, God, we sing His praise. Worshipping His Holy Name. Our lips sing of our love for Him.

Nehemiah 9:6

“You are the Lord, You alone. You have made heaven, the Heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and You preserve all of them; and the host of Heaven worships You. “

Our worship. Our praise for God Almighty. For God, our Creator God today. Focuses on the wonder of life. On the miracle of life to not only survive. Life at times thrives in the most unlikely. In the most inhospitable conditions and places on earth. “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, majestic in Holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11)

Scientists and all those with minds that wonder. Are fascinated by the ability of life to adapt. To not only live but appear to enjoy living. If you, like me, are drawn to documentaries on such topics. The source of such wonder is never-ending. “And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today.” (Luke 5:26)

God our loving, Heavenly Father teaching us something? He never. He never does anything without the purpose of love. As our loving Father, He is showing us that no matter how hard life is. We will not only survive. With God our Father as the very foundation of all that we need. With Jesus, His Son, as the light and breath of our life. With God, the Holy Spirit as the source of life itself. “How priceless is Your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.” (Psalm 36:7) We thrive to sing His praise and worship Him always.

1 John 2:6

“He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.”

It is oh! so sad. It is oh! true! We have days when the clouds in our lives hide God’s Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus our Lord. Christ our Saviour. Jesus the One who walks beside us each and every day. “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

We know, in the deep recesses of our hearts. Jesus is here. Jesus walks beside us as we struggle through the days of clouds and storms.

We feel His presence. He is always here. He always will be. “for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5b)

We take such comfort in knowing that Jesus our Lord is always here. His loving and comforting presence is the sun that shines on our path each day.

Of course, Jesus’ love and soothing presence are different for each of us. Jesus’ love is certainly not a “ one size fits all” type of love.

Jesus loves each of us personally, intimately and deeply.

It is on this personal and intimate level that His presence is felt. He speaks to each of us as we need Him to. He adjusts His presence and love for each of us as required. “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b)

This is how much Christ our personal Lord and Saviour loves us. He manifests Himself in our hearts. Giving each of us what is needed, when we need it.

He is the light of our path. He is personally shining our way Home to our Heavenly Kingdom.

Isaiah 42:5

“This is what God the Lord says — the Creator of the heavens, Who stretches them out,
Who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it,  Who gives breath to its people,
and life to those who walk on it: “

The floodwaters represent how our hearts overflow with love for God our Father. The rushing water washes away the debris. What remains is love, deep and pure. Yes, the floodwaters of God’s love refresh, cleanses and give us life anew. “I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me diligently find Me.” (Proverbs 8:17)

As we walk along this sloping and grassy pathway with Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. We look into His tender eyes. “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Our Creator God, is sheltering and protecting us every step of our way.

As we bend down. Take a refreshing, cooling sip from His trickling stream. His smile forms a delicate, yet brilliantly hued rainbow. Out of the mist formed from the evaporating waters.

Is God our Father a creator of Magic? Our answer. Our prayer. Oh! Yes, thank you, Heavenly Father, thank you!

Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. Psalm 5:11

Each new corner offers a glimpse of magic and beauty. Tall trees, each one their branches reaching to their God Creator in prayer and praise. Each one is encircled with grasses and miniature flower beds, fungi and mosses. A miniature world of its own. “Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities — His eternal power and divine nature.” (Romans 1:20b)

Our noses breathe in deeply of such, sweet and tantalizing fragrances. Some familiar. Some are unknown to us. All refreshing and renewing.

Our ears pick up symphonies of birdsong. Singing greetings to loved ones far and near. Singing hymns of praise and worship to their Creator God.

Isaiah 54:10

‘The mountains may shift, and the hills may be shaken, but My faithful love won’t shift from you, and My covenant of peace won’t be shaken,’ says the Lord, the One who pities you.”

God knows there will be times in our lives when we will be lost and separated from Him. Times of sadness, loneliness and heartache. He looks deeply into our hearts. His Word is a place of solace and comfort. “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” (Psalm 62:1–2)

This is such a mystery. Such a wonder. Our Creator God. It was He who created all that was ever made. Loves us so deeply. He inspired over forty authors over a period of many centuries. To write His words of comfort, healing, strength, peace, mercy and grace. Above all so many verses and blessings of love. “Let Your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in You.” (Psalm 33:22)

Reach out for your beloved copy of God’s Holy Scripture. God’s Holy Spirit will guide us to the verse of love needed. Drink in these words of “living waters.” Let them heal our troubled and aching hearts.

Touch the pages, as I do. Even this speaks of God’s love for us.

Philippians 4:6

“And the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

You do not have to trek to your favourite mountain valley. True and everlasting peace is to be found in your Lord. His peace.

Christ Jesus gives you peace that doesn’t only remove worries and troubles. Christ’s peace makes you a loving part of Him. Jesus loves you this much. He wants you to be an ever-lasting part of Him.

In John’s Epistle chapter fourteen, Jesus doesn’t just leave you His peace. Jesus gives you His ever-lasting peace. By believing that Jesus is the true Son of God. By accepting Christ as your Saviour. Jesus’ Holy Spirit dwells within you. His Spirit becomes part of you.

John 14:21

“Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Let us begin! Let us travel and always live this journey through life with:

  • L — Life — Live a life of faith and love.
  • O — Others — Serve God by serving others.
  • V — Verify — Study and Meditate on God’s Word daily.
  • E — Everything you do is for the love of Jesus. For the glory of God.

Life. Live a life of faith and love. To have faith in our Lord and Saviour. We must first know who He is. We must know what He did. We must know why He did it. All the answers and so much more about Jesus our beloved Lord are found in the Holy Bible. We love our time reading, meditating on and memorizing special verses that speak eternal truths about Jesus. These verses fill our hearts and comfort us in times of heartache. “Let all that you do be done in love.” (1 Corinthians 6:14)

Psalm 139:7–10

“Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, You are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will hold me.”

So it is with our friendship. With our relationship. With our companionship with God our Heavenly Father. We hunger and we thirst for a more fulfilling and lasting companionship with God our Heavenly Father.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20) God Almighty. God our Heavenly Father is knocking on the door of our Hearts. He is seeking entrance. We may feel alone. We may be seeking companionship. Yet, God is our Creator. He is patiently knocking at the door of our hearts and seeking entrance. He, too, wants to have a relationship with us. He too yearns for us to love Him. God is our Heavenly Father. We are His adopted children.

Philippians 2:4

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

We desire. We cry for… We long for a life of true meaning. A life when that at the close of each day. We feel we have, if even in a simple way. We made a little difference in someone else’s life. We actually helped someone in a meaningful and lasting way. We have created something unique and beneficial. With our imagination and our own two hands. We have contributed to society and mankind in general. In a deep-rooted and constructive means.

It is an admirable goal, right? To be of help to others and to society in general, yes? We need to find a balance between what is an improbable pipe dream. And, seeking a doable and feasible goal that we can actually bring into reality. “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of Your hands.” (Psalm 138:8)

Thursday, 24  November

John 16:33

“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Peace, this treasure we seek. Peace, this pearl we once had. And now have lost. Peace, is this cherished emotion, that we seek, search and yearn for with all our being. “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16)

Who is the source of such a miracle? Such a life-changing wonder? Earthly pleasures are only temporary at best. Worldly treasures have not brought peace. Where do we go? Who is the answer? How do we bring harmony and contentment into our lives? “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from Me, or seen in Me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:9) God the Father is our Answer. Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour is our way to true and lasting peace.

We have the One answer. We have the Love we are craving. God our Heavenly Father through His beloved Son, Christ Jesus is the eternal source of peace. “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Matthew 22:37

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

We all seek to experience each day as full and abundant. Each day we wake not knowing what to expect. A day, “when victories will be won, a day of shining glory, a day of walking hand in hand with Jesus Christ, God’s Son.” (hymnist unknown)

By loving God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit with all that we are. We walk through this oh! so special gift. This day that the Lord has made. We place ourselves in a position of joy and blessings. Where we give Him love in everything we do, say, think and pray.

The Creator God created us to be in eternal union with Him, through Jesus. “By this we know that we are in Him.” (1 John 2:5) We are God’s handiwork. We are fashioned by our Creator God to be loved by Him. To love Him with all our being.

Tuesday, 22nd November

Matthew 4:4

“But He answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God’.”

God, our Heavenly Father is a God of divine, pure and perfect love. God loves to give love. For God our Father, every day for us is fresh and new. God plants in each new day fresh opportunities. To start anew. To become more and more like Jesus. To learn more and more about God. Of His tender love, grace and mercy. Through diligent and daily study of God’s Holy Word.

Our fresh new day is God’s opportunity for us. God’s invitation for us as faithful believers in His risen Son, Christ. To be renewed, reborn and refreshed. “inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16b)

God’s love for us is so deep and refreshing. That on our new day. God gives us a choice to walk in the newness of life. “just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Romans 6:4b) It is not only our day that is now new. We too have become new, in and through Christ our Saviour. We are washed clean by Jesus’ sacrificial blood. We are born again. “Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John3:3)

Monday, 21St November

Colossians 3:14

“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

We find such wondrous and awesome power. We receive such uplifting and inspiring hope. We gain such enduring courage and strength of faith. From God the Father’s free gift of unconditional love.

By finding the simple joy of giving away this free gift — unconditional love. We too find what songwriters, poets, artists, authors and hymnists are inspired by. Unconditional love and the miracles it performs are free gifts from God our Heavenly Father.

Our Father has put within our hearts the possibility to live this gift. Yes, to live this gift. To live our lives as a wondrous adventure of giving of ourselves for Him and to others. To be. To give. To exist because of God’s unconditional love for us. Jesus: For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God.” (John16:27)

Sunday, 20th November

Luke 1:78

“God’s love and kindness will shine upon us like the sun that rises in the sky.”

We are all welcome to walk in the sunshine of God’s love and kindness.

Even on days when we cannot venture into God’s meadow. Even on days when we cannot cross the threshold of our doorway. Feeling loved by God our Heavenly Father is like nothing we will ever feel again. God’s love “is a warm, loving presence that is always there.” (Mark Ellison) Just as our sun’s beams penetrate deep into our bodies. Penetrating deep down to ease away our aches and pains.

God’s perfect and pure love saturates deep within our hearts and souls. To ease away our troubles and heartaches. “But I will sing of Your strength, in the morning I will sing of Your love; for You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” (Psalm 59:16)

Saturday,  19th November

 Psalm 139:1–2

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You discern my thoughts from afar.”

And even though we do not realize it. God our loving Father is always seeking our love. Our loving union with Him. “Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through! They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness.”  (1 Lamentations 3:22–23)

What is that our hearts are hearing? What heavenly chorus are His angels singing? Yes, His lost ones are found. He has searched. And, we are found. This earthly maze of sin and temptation. Led us astray from God our Father. Took us away from His comfort and peace. He never stopped searching for us. God Almighty never stopped searching for us. We are that important to Him. “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10)

Friday, 18th November

John 10:9

“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.”

God’s Kingdom has “an open door which no one is able to shut.” (Revelation 3:8b) “The Kingdom of God is within every blood-washed child of God.” (thegospeltruth.org) It is a Kingdom of “righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17)

Jesus’ precious pledge to those who knock on the door of the Kingdom of God. “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. (Luke 12:32) Jesus through Luke, promises us God’s love. That when we knock on the door of the Kingdom of God, “the Kingdom of God has come upon you.” (Luke 11:20b)

Amos 5:4

“For thus says the Lord to the House of Israel: “Seek Me and live;”

“The one who seeks finds.” When we search earnestly for our Father. When we seek God with all our hearts and souls. We will rejoice for evermore upon finding Him. Upon being saturated by His pure and perfect love. “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

Exodus 33:14

“And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

The most powerful reason for us to reach up for the comforting and welcoming hand of our Father. Is His open and earnest invitation. Spoken passionately from His Word. Come, My child. Come, spend time with me. “Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

To such an invitation, our hearts. Our spirits. Our very beings answer His call. We humbly and happily walk into His Holy presence. We are ushered into the very presence of God Almighty, Himself.

We are welcome into the very presence of the One who is the Creator of all that there is. We enter with reverence and awe, into the presence of the One who loves us. The One who loves us without hesitation. We enter into the very presence of our Father. The One who is God. Our God is a God who loves with a love that is perfect, infinite and unconditional. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” (Deuteronomy 6:5)

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you.

Not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your hearts be troubled,    neither  let them be afraid.”

Our God is a God who loves with a love that is perfect, infinite and unconditional. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” (Deuteronomy 6:5)

God is LOVE!        The Love of God! God’s Love is Unconditional.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God. In this world of conflict, domestic abuse and international turmoil.

We ask ourselves is it possible to find true and lasting peace? This reassuring verse in God’s Word tells us there is.

Jesus our Lord leaves us peace that fills our hearts.  Breathe in deeply of this wonder of God’s Love for You.

Please, do leave me a message. I am hoping. I am praying to build a community of Love and Reassurance.

Your true friend in Jesus, Diane.

  1. Why have the word’s of Jesus in His Gospel accounts regarding His death, burial, and resurrection, been translated into over 3,000 languages, and nothing comes close? The same God who formed the heavens and earth that draws all people to Him through His creation, likewise has sent His Word to the ends of the earth so that we may come to personally know Him to be saved in spirit and in truth through His Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus stands alone among the other religions that say to rightly weigh the scales of good and evil and to make sure you have done more good than bad in this life. Is this how we conduct ourselves justly in a court of law? Bearing the image of God, is this how we project this image into reality?

Our good works cannot save us. If we step before a judge, being guilty of a crime, the judge will not judge us by the good that we have done, but rather by the crimes we have committed. If we as fallen humanity, created in God’s image, pose this type of justice, how much more a perfect, righteous, and Holy God?

God has brought down His moral laws through the 10 commandments given to Moses at Mt. Siani. These laws were not given so we may be justified, but rather that we may see the need for a savior. They are the mirror of God’s character of what He has put in each and every one of us, with our conscious bearing witness that we know that it is wrong to steal, lie, dishonor our parents, murder, and so forth.

We can try and follow the moral laws of the 10 commandments, but we will never catch up to them to be justified before a Holy God. That same word of the law given to Moses became flesh about 2,000 years ago in the body of Jesus Christ. He came to be our justification by fulfilling the law, living a sinless perfect life that only God could fulfill.
